My family moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1970 when I was 6, and I spent my youth becoming imprinted by wind, ┬ásand, and the ocean. I learned to fly hang gliders in the mid 1980s, and the connections to my home and to the people I’ve met through flying have taken on a depth I can’t seem to get enough of.

I was a full time stay at home dad for 8 years, and a part time handyman when the kids started school. Now that my youngest is fledging, I’m an out of work housewife, wondering what the next act is going to look like.
